Informants and Whistle-blower Protection
Informing on illegal activities is an important source of economic crimes discovery, but it may constitute a risk on the informants and whistle-blowers. Therefore, the law tasked the ESCD with the protection and safekeeping of individuals who come forward with information on illegal activities.
• Protect informants and whistle-blowers, from legal prosecution, even in the case of breaching confidentiality and disclosure agreements, and guarantee concealment of their personal and work information.
• Protection of informants and whistle-blowers in the place of residence and in the workplace from abuse, discrimination, and disciplinary actions.
• Strict disciplinary measures under the law will be taken against any individual giving the ESCD false tips and information.
